Description: Lamar pen. Piston filler. Made in Germany. From 1950’s. Next to new to new condition. Everything seems to work. h Hard to find Information about Lamar online other than they existed. Filled up well and writes fine when I tested it. Piston filler works well. Writes a bit fine for my taste, but I had no problem. I measured it to a 124 millimeters, which is a bit more than 4 and 3/4 inches and a bit less than 5 inches. It's about 4.9 inches in length. Beautiful green color. I guess I’d call it a marble finish. No sign of wear, the Lamar imprint is very sharp in gold ink. I'm sure it would start to come off with extensive use. It's a piston filler with a screw mechanism and a blind cap that gives it a nice old-fashioned feel. It IS old, from about mid 50’s, about the same age as I am. Hardly used, if ever used. The Lamar imprint shines, everything looks nice. The nib is probably just gold-plated stainless steel because it doesn't say that it's gold, but no loss of gold color, The nib not even dirty. looks a bit ink stained in some photos perhaps, but that's because I inked it up. At this point I'm not well, I have more fountain pens than I'll ever need, still occasionally buy a new one, and I'm not going to do anything with this one. I'll be looking to sell some of my collection.
