Description: Vintage 1969 red and white Lancers glasswine bottles converted to salt & pepper shakers (by design). White dinner wine in green bottle and rose in a red/rust colored bottle. During my research, i found a story when a person received these as part of his meal on an airline flight. They came with the plastic S & P caps so that you could reuse the bottles indefinitely. What a wonderful idea, if accurate! The wine was from Jose Maria de Fonseca (also known as JMF), which is located in Azeitao, Portugal. It was imported by Hublein Inc in Hartford CT, which was dissolved in 1982.
