Description: LONG WAVE and SHORT WAVE UV Very strong, multi color fluorescence on this Lapis Lazuli specimen. Nice rich, blue color on this specimen in regular lighting. Fluoresces a couple shades of bright orange under long wave UV (images 1,4) and a yellow/green and blue under short wave UV light (images 2, 5) The rock is metamorphic, a Marble, composed of chiefly of blue Lazurite, White/Grey Calcite and Brassy colored Pyrite on addition to other Sodalite minerals probably Hackmanite and Hyauyne etc. The above images were taken with Convoy S2 long wave UV light and a 6 watt short wave lamp. 111 grams. 3" length.
