Description: This large drum is 28" tall and weighs 18 lbs. 10 oz. The drumming sections are about 14x15" on the top and 14x16" on the bottom. Also included is a 14.25" handcrafted drumstick. One side of the drum has two handles, which I did not include in the measurements. The bottom is more of an oval, and has more scratches and stained areas around the edges. The wood has some flaws, most of which look to be from when it crafted. The drum sounds seem good, slightly different for each side. This is one of five large/extra large drums I have for sale that came from an estate that still had a big inventory from when they had a southwest decor store, selling drums, pottery, wood carvings, southwest prints, etc. Based on the style of everything, it would have been late 80's or early 90's. Each drum is one of a kind, handcrafted out of a hollowed out log with rawhide stretched over the top and bottom and tightened with rawhide strands. They can be used as drums, but are large enough to be used as unique side tables.
