Description: This is an exceptional antique pottery lamp made by Weller in the Dickens Ware I line dating back to the 1890s. The base is marked with the impressed Dickens Ware I mark from the 1890s. It is in wonderful original condition with no damage, repairs or crazing. The only flaw is one pinhead size glaze pop near the front that is a manufacturing flaw, not damage. It measures 9.5 inches across at the widest and 7 inches high. There are 2 beautiful poppies decorating its front. There are 4 small feet on the base. The beautiful shade is multicolored starting with dark brown at the bottom and blending into a rich yellow at the top. There is a beautiful poppy matching the poppies on the base painted on the front. The shade is signed, "WINN", and measures 10 inches high and 9 inches across. It is in wonderful original condition with no damage. The burner will need to be replaced if you want to actually use the lamp as it is missing what I believe to be the wick part and the actual part that holds the fuel has several cracks. The wick raiser knob is marked, "SUCCESS". I have tried to photograph these so please check out the photos as they are part of this description. This stunning lamp is from my late parents' collection and has been boxed and in storage for many, many years. I am not an expert on antique lamps so please ask any questions. Always happy to provide additional photos. White spots in photos are light reflections, not damage.
