Description: This is early Valencia when to cobalt was a rich blue before they changed the formula. Excellent condition. There’s a photo of a small defect on the bottom that would have happened before the second firing in the kiln. (How do I know? I was a semi-pro potter for some years.) Some seem to call these tureens but we believe they serve better as a pedestal serving bowl. As good as you’re likely to find.
