Three keys are included for the three old locks, but buyer may also choose to leave unlocked and simply use keys as pulls to open/close doors.This cabinet was built to dis-assemble, making transportation easier. Top, bottom, sides, shelves etc. all "break down."All scratches, cracks, dings, missing elements and age related separation, shifting fit of shelf pegs are reflective of age and do not detract from the beauty nor function of this stately bookcase.
