Description: Cleaning out more of my stuff. I bought this at a big doll auction about 15 years from Skinner in Boston and since then it has been sitting, along with the other ones I just listed, in a storage tub. C 1890's Victorian china head low brow doll marked with the number 8 inscribed on the back of the neck. Measures 20"" in length with a fabric body. She is wearing a long pink dress with embroidered top, a faux pearl necklace and various underclothes and slips. All the clothes look to be handmade. She has rosy red cheeks, blue eyes and black hair. Excellent overall condition. There are no cracks to the bisque head and only minor wear to some high points of her black painted hair. I am not a doll person so I don't know if any part of the boy has been replaced but looks to be in great shape. There is some light pink staining from the dress on two little areas of the under clothes and I took lots of detailed pictures for review Shipped fully insured.
