Carcharodontosaurus mature size was 39 - 44 feet, and 12 feet tall at the hip. Weighing 6 to 15 tons. Habitat - Teeth collected in the Kem Kem region of Morocco point to Carcharodontosaurus sharing a habitat with Spinosaurus, the sail backed T-rex, and Sarosuchus, a massive Croc. Mid Cretaceous Morocco was very different than today. Flat plains with marches and dense forests, with many shallow lakes and river. These guys had a Super Sized feeding territory of up to 310 square miles. (If you added up, the 10 biggest cities in the US and divided by 10, that would be about the size of their territory....huge) Body size - Carcharodontosaurus had basically the same body plan of T. rex - with a massive head full of 32 razor sharp teeth. Thick back legs and a counter balance tail were great for catching prey. T-rex was heavy, bulky and slower. Carcharodontosaurus was streamlined and agile. Wikipedia has some photos and more info. Carcharodontosaurus was really more of a 'Supersized African Velociraptor'. These guys were speed demons. Extremely fast runners estimated to reach 20 miles per hour. The cutting thru flesh with their shark like teeth. Prey probably bleed to death.... Differences in teeth - T-rex has squat, banana shaped teeth which were used to crush bone. Hunting for live animals or feeding off carrion. Costing $15,000 to $25,000+ per tooth for T-rex teeth, they are kidda out of my budget. Carcharodontosaurus used a more bite and rip flesh strategy like a shark. And are much more affordable, while we can still get them. Evolution - Until about 90 million years ago, T-rex never attained a size larger than a average raptor. Carcharodontosaurus was closer to a small bus in size. Some paleontologist believe that the removal of Carcharodontosaurus and others allowed T-rex to fill empty food niches and gain the size it had. Even though T-rex is better know (and easier to say), alas they all went extinct in a cataclysmic event. Teeth - Each tooth is unique. No two are the same!
