100% hand painted jewelry box from the first quarter of the 20th century. Nice
hinged enclosure that clasps it shut very tight then the lid pops up slightly
when the clasp is opened. The hinge is nice and tight so it stays open at
various intervals. Very nice raised gold all over, with a very well painted
romance scene on top. 8" wide x 3.75" tall shut x 5.5" deep. No cracks, chips,
restorations, or detectable wear. This has been very well cared for and likely
not used for the past 100 years or so.
