Description: Large Half Moon with Face Signed by Sergio Bustamante 44/100 Sergio Bustamante is a Mexican sculptor known for his imaginative sculptures of humanoid creatures and his distinct folk-meets-surrealism style. His early interest in interiors & form led him to study architeture at the University of Guadalajara, though he would eventually leave to persue fine arts. His work was first shown at the Galeria Misrachi in Mexico City in 1966 and he continues to exhibit his works around the world. This large hand-painted wall sculpture "Half Moon Face" is signed and editioned 44 of 100, and thought to be from the 1980s. It measures roughly 36” tall x 30” wide from widest points. Good vintage condition with minor chips & marks at far sides and back, not visible when hung. Relative to other Large Half Moons available & recently sold, this one is in excellent condition.
