Description: Here we have a large 15" folk art rooster by the late Georgian potter Larry Wilson. This piece is very vibrant in color with yellow dots, a black-brown body and a great red comb. Mr. Wilson signed it "LW" underneath the tail. Condition:Mint - Note the firing crack on the back side and underneath the tail. This is not a hairline and was caused when the wet clay was being fired in the kiln. No repairs or damage to this example. Because the kiln crack occurred while Mr. Wilson was firing the rooster, it's considered to be mint.
