Description: LARGE Mappin & Webb Sterling Silver Trophy 1885 NRA/Golf w/ Silverplate Lid READ- FREE USA SHIPPING Pre-owned- Good antique condition. The piece exhibits some small dents, marks, scratches, and tarnishing commentate with age. The bottom of the trophy is hand carved into the silver "National Rifle Ass. Rigley Meet 1891 Won By PTE William Cox G coy IVB RSF". This piece has a silver-plated lid that was probably made later for this piece. The lid has no hallmarks. The body is fully hallmarked. The trophy wobbles slightly when on the wood base. The wood base is most likely a later addition as well. There are fourteen cartouches on the base, each is hallmarked. Seven of the cartouches are monogramed with dates and initials from the 1980s.
