Description: Large RARE Yooperlite - BRIGHT (7.2 oz.) Lake Superior Syenite Stone w/Fluorescent Sodalite. (The photos do not do this stone justice). I believe this type of rounded quality sodalite stone is found mostly around the shore of Lake Superior, and in gravel areas nearby. Found and sent from the Upper (Yooper) Peninsula of Michigan, home of the "Yooperlite". The light used for photos is a 365nm LONG WAVE UV light, color may vary depending on the light used to make them fluoresce. A blacklight 395 nm style lamp is not recommended for best color. Stones were dry in all photos, wet or polished stones appear more bright and gemmy. A quarter and ruler were used in photos to help indicate the size of the stones.
