Description: This Larry Doby model 302J Adirondack baseball bat dates specifically to the period from 1951 to 1957 as it still has the McLaughlin - Millard center label markings. Their names were dropped beginning in 1958. It is in SUPER CONDITION rates a near mint grading! Original color, 100% stamping, no cracks, checking or other problems. 30" long and the knob is fully intact. Only a few minor rack marks on the back side of the barrel and a very small nail place in the end of the knob to identify ownership. Larry Doby had a great MLB career mostly with the Cleveland Indians. He is a member of the baseball HOF, 9 time AL All Star and 2 time World Series Champion. He may also be the first black player in the American League, but I am not certain of that. Great display piece in remarkable condition. All inquiries are very welcome.
