I wanted something between my EMac and my Warrant and this has fit the bill nicely. It has a little turn, but then will fade back unlike the Warrant will. The rim has a great feel, like many others have said it is similar to a buzzz. I bought a Lat 64 CORE because all the other Lat64 discs have been working very well for me. I love the feel of the gold-line plastic and the CORE felt great in my hand from the get go. It throws similar to the mako but I think it has a tad more glide at slower speed throws. I love the CORE and I recommend it to anyone that is looking for a glidey, strait mid-range disc. It is very beginner friendly,also it is forgiving to out of form throws, if that makes sense. Flies super straight and carries with nice glide. My Core (175g) will tend to turn if over powered or thrown into a headwind, but that high speed turn allows a straight flight with under-powered pulls. I generally opt to throw/hyzer-flip a River for point and shoot 250-300, but my Core can give me the same results given the right hyzer-flip and wind conditions. Anhyzer approaches will hold angle and gently fade toward a neutral finish. Tends to finish with a very slight fade given loft or under-powered, but probably won't have enough low speed stability to fight out of a big turn. Flies very similar to neutral-to-stable putters, just a bit longer. The Core has a hair more high-speed turn and a little less fade, but it's pretty hard to notice. The Core is a little more squirrelly in the wind. With the right tailwind, the Core is my longest mid, but in average conditions, it's distance is comparable to my Buzz. The Core's lip is thin, and I struggle a bit securing a nice forehand grip, but the backhand grip feels great. The Gold line seems very durable, but a little slick. I get fewer errant throws from my Buzz, so it wins the spot in my bag, but if I lost my Buzz, I'd have a nice replacement in the Core. Both are less stable than my new 172 gram "Z" Buzz. And they are way more high-speed flippier than any of my new Rocs. I keep one in my bag though for two reasons. I like it for up-hill hyzer-flip shots. More importantly, this thing can sail - HUGE glide! If I want to take a corner and then glide away, this thing can out shine my best drivers. Where my other mids top out around 275-350, the Core sometimes hits 450 or more (unfortunately sometimes when I don't want it to). If someone really gave this disc some attention, they could probably do some nasty stuff with it. If someone used it as an occasional-use disc, it might get them into trouble more than it helps them, especially in the wind. It's definitely a fun one though. That is what I can start off by saying about this disc! I have been playing DG for about a year and a half. I drive with midrange discs probably about 75% of the time. I am building my game from the bottom up. I want control and accuracy over distance, and I truly believe progressing through discs from slow speeds up is the way to go. I get about 170-200 feet consistently from drives. First, my disc is a 170g blue gold line. The feel and look of the Gold Line plastic is amazing! While it has a glossy look, it has a great grip. It has been about 70 degrees and sunny lately, and the plastic is still fairly flexible. I think it will be great in the cooler weather as well and not end up being overly stiff. The rim has a great feel, and fits my hand really well. Now for the flight. My favorite midrange in my bag hands down is the Westside Tursas. The Core has a very similar flight to the Tursas. I can throw it just as far, but seems to have a straighter flight with less fade. It also holds up better in the wind that my Tursas. When I would throw the Tursas and it would get hung up in the wind, the Core will cut right through it. I found the Core to be easy to throw and control after just a few throws. It is quite sensitive to hyzer angles, very little angle needed to get a great response. I think it is a great compliment to my bag, and I'm really happy to have discovered it. I have been able to dial it in accurately for my drives as well as shorter controlled approach shots. I think players who are familiar with throwing should give this disc a try. Maybe not the best disc for beginners since it does take a bit of a touch to get it dialed in. Once you do though, it is amazing!
