Description: This listing is for the original Lawrence Hansen Sinberg painting that you see in the photos. I purchased it from an antique dealer in Oregon. He did not tell me when it was painted. I leave it to the buyer to decide when it was painted. I'm guessing that it is old enough to be considered vintage. The Masonite like board that it is painted on measures close to 23 3/4 by 19 3/4 inches and weighs close to 4 pounds 8 ounces, There are neat notches cut into the reverse of the board around the edges that I think were probably cut by the artist to make it easier to frame. According to a reference that I found online: "Lawrence Hansen Sindberg (1902 - 1977) was active/lived in Montana / Denmark. Lawrence Sindberg is known for Rural landscape-houses, designer.From Denmark, Lawrence Sindberg became a painter and designer of medals and silverware. He settled in Boseman, Montana, having studied at the Art Academy in Denmark and the Art Institute of Chicago where he also exhibited (1929-32)."Source: Peter Falk, "Who Was Who in American Art" The condition is much like you see it in the photos. The painting is in excellent condition with no paint loss or cracking. It might benefit from a cleaning. The reverse shows some discoloration. Otherwise, my photos should give you a good idea if it's general condition. I guarantee this painting to be as described and represented by the photos.
