Description: For auction is a beautiful vase made by Tiffany Studios, New York. The vase stands 7 1/2" tall and is 3" in diameter at the foot which is its widest point. The vase displays a beaker shape with a wide bottom that tapers in as it rises up and forms a cylindrical neck to hold a flower bud. The vase is further decorated with a broad leaf pattern at the very bottom edge. The bottom of the broad leaf is done in a green Favrile and separating each leaf above is a strong blue on gold iridescence. The gold iridescence rises above this and is a brilliant gold all the way to the top. This vase is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips or dings to any of the glass. The iridescence is quite beautiful. The vase has an added round disk over the counter sunk area or pontil. The vase is signed on the bottom "L.C.Tiffany Favrile 6268 J" . You can date when this vase was made by the suffix letter J. The pieces of art glass blown by Tiffany's Studios carry this suffix letter were made circa 1915.Those of you who collect Tiffany Favrile vases and want a nice example in excellent condition look no further. This is the harder to find smaller size. Typically when found these are around 9" or taller. This vase will enhance any art glass collection. A similar vase can be documented in the book "Tiffany Favrile Art Glass" by Mosie S. Steeg Jr page 71. PLEASE READ BELOW I want to apologize for slowing down my shipping time. Ebay forced me into managed payments in July 2020. I used to get my money in 24 hours. I now get it in 3-4 business days. I was told it would be better for me and my fees would go down. This has been the opposite as my fees have actually increased and now it takes longer for me to receive the payments. Because of this slowdown I will not ship until the payment has made it into my bank account. No store lets you out of the building with the merchandise unless it is paid for. They are also now charging all sellers a commission of 12.35% on sales tax. Pay Pal used to charge 2.9% payment processing fee but Ebay has changed this to 12.35%. This is an increase of 9.45% on the sales tax portion. They are now making a profit on the sales tax and treating it as a sale which in my eyes is wrong!! They did the same on the shipping charges several years ago. They use to not charge anything and now they are charging 12.35% commission on shipping as well. This has raised the cost to ship items to you, the buyer and this is factored into my shipping charges. If you feel what Ebay is doing is wrong or you don't agree them please contact Ebay and voice your opinion. Maybe if enough of you do this, they will change their policy.
