'Son de los Diablos' Sheet Approx 70 x 49 cm Inscribed By Artists The Chevalme sisters, alias “Le Quartier Général”, are twin-sister artists, graphic designers and illustrators, Elodie and Delphine. Respectively, they hold a Masters degree in Graphic Communication from ENSAAMA (École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Appliqués et des Métiers d’Art, Paris), and a post-graduate degree in Plastic Arts from ENSAD (École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs, Paris).After completing their studies, they set up their own graphic studio where they designed the graphic identity of various concert venues in Paris. The quality of their creations rapidly won them the recognition of the events world, particularly in the black, urban hip-hop scene. Their style honours the technique of drawing by hand, and earned them a publication in Louis Bou’s Flying Graphics – a collection of flyers by European studios and graphic artists, published by Monsa. In parallel to their studio, they run art projects that delve into social and urban themes. Just like their duo, graphic art and art function side by side, and nurture each other throughout their development.
