Description: Leica Summicron-RF 35mm f/2 rangefinder lens. Serial #1631726. Made in GERMANY. 1st version. 8 elements. Circa 1958. Chrome finish. Cat. # 11108. Made for Leica M3 with the RF view finder "eyes" attached to this lens to give the correct 35mm view, and accurate rangefinder focusing on the M3 camera. This lens cannot be used on other Leica M film camera models. If you remove the "eyes" this lens can be used on MIRRORLESS digital camera's like: Canon R, Nikon Z, Olympus OM-D, Panasonic G9, Panasonic GH-5, Fuji X-Pro3, XE-4 and Fuji XT-3, Sony a6100, Alpha a6500 and full frame Sony A-7rIII with proper adapter. Aperture from F/2 to F/16. Focusing from 28 inches or 0.7 meter. Filter size is E39. Lens is in Ex++/Mint- or 9 of 10 cosmetic condition. NO dents or dings. Front and rear elements are clean with no detectable coating marks or scratches. Clean glass. This lens has recently been CLA'd best as possible for a vintage lens by DAG in 2023. Smooth lens focusing. Smooth working lens aperture with no oil on the blades. Clean viewing "eyes" with this lens. Comes with Leitz IROOA lens hood with cap, Leitz front and rear caps, Leitz Box and a Leitz 39mm UVa filter.
