Leica MR Telyt-R 500mm f/8 Mirror Lens for R Mount

Description: For sale is one Leica R mount 500mm f/8 Mirror lens. Comes with original leather case and strap, with all rear filters in the original set, the original metal circular hood, and original front and rear caps. This is a beautiful lens and in person is very attractive. Lens body and hood appear in near mint condition with some slight paint wear only. Glass and internal mirror appear perfect and there is zero pitting, scratches or fungus. Inside it looks near new. The filters all appear unused aside from the uv 0 which doubles as the lens' rear element and must be always in place. The UV 0 has slight wear marks on the metal ring but the glass is scratch and wear free like the others. The front cap has some marks from being in the leather case for an extended period of time but is otherwise perfect and has the original red velvet interior around the inside. The leather case is in good cosmetic condition but the interior felt has degraded over time and sheds tons of fibers since the binding glue has deteriorated badly. Despite this, the lens was not stored inside the case so there are no fibers inside it that I can see. Nonetheless the lens will not be shipped inside the case to make sure no fibers get inside. Overall this is a rare and beautiful mirror lens with a unique design for collectors of R series Leica lenses. I have shot this on the M 240 as well as the Nikon Z6 with adapters and the lens works well with no issues. Focus is very smooth and infinity seemed accurate in both cases.
