Chatterton’s 6.59 backed up his earlier run of 6.56 for the new strip record. In this photo were photographer greats Bob McClurg, Steve Reyes, Jere Alhadeff, and Tim Marshall all getting their Hawaiian ‘money shots’. Engine whiz Ed Pink and chassis builder “Lil” John Butera were among the others checking out the action.This image was scanned from the original 6 x 7 Kodak negative in 6400 DPI high resolution and is chemically printed on high glossy Fugi Crystal chemical paper with a 1/2 black boarder black boarder by a professional lab.
