At the end of that period he formed a partnership with his brother,Franklin Rice, and purchased the business which he had managed for six years, and had proved a profitable one. Their store, was operated by the Rice Brothers for two years; then George O. became sole owner, and personally managed the business until September. 1917, when he retired.
