Description: "Captain Clark - Buffalo Gangue" -- this vintage plate being offered is a circa 1982 Limited Edition Plate No. 2006 and it is the fourth issue of eight plates in the GORHAM "Lewis and Clark Expedition -- Trailblazers of the American Northwest" Plate Collection inspired by the original paintings of John Clymer. The plate features Captain Clark and part of his band of explorers encountering an enormous herd of buffalo crossing the Yellowstone River. Captain Clark referred in his writings to the herd as a Buffalo Gangue. This beautiful plate is in "mint" condition and has been maintained in the original box, along with its Certificate of Authenticity. The 24k gold-rimmed plate is approximately 10-7/8" in diameter.
