Description: A beautiful antique - TRAMP ART FRAME with 4 US Flags in the corners, flags are possibly 45 star(1896) but hard to tell because they were scrunched in but are original to frame...Measures 18 in. by 21 in. and is in superb condition especially for its age...as found untouched, few minor corner finish rubs and center backing board is missing...Field of view is 9.5 in. by 21 in....The background material appears to be hand woven and an oriental rug crab motif? showing some pulls....The young man on the horse is identified JAMES FULLER TEXAS 1917 and appears to be wearing a hat typical of the Texas Rangers? The horse tack does not show military but the Tent in the background looks like some type of encampment, possibly WW1....I'm not sure of the tintype of the child in the lower corner is the man or a relative of his....The frame is very solid and heavy and I believe it might be from the 1890's and repurposed with the photo...originally from and old PA estate cleanout and in our collection for over 50 years....Note: the yarn winding on the hanging cable was used to protect period wall paper and could easily be removed....
