Description: This 5 Libyan dinar banknote is part of the first series of Libyan dinar banknotes issued by the Central Bank of Libya. This note, unlike its earlier variety, has an inscription from the Quran that translates to Nor should you take one anothers wealth unjustly and unlawfully, on the lower right corner of the notes obverse side. The obverse side also features a shield that has a cog, a map of North Africa and the Middle East, and a bird within it. The reverse side features the Assaria al-Hamra (Red Castle) fortress in Tripoli. The note has a solid security thread and a watermark of the Libyan coat of arms. Its dimensions are 182 mm by 90 mm.
