Description: If you are a fan of Louisa May Alcott, then you must have a copy of her “Life Letters and Journal” in your collection. This lesser known book was published by Little, Brown Book Group in 1900. The author was a private person, and not a prolific correspondent, who latter in her life revised her journals (removing that which she deemed too personal) and burning much of her correspondence. This book contains that which she left behind. The book’s binding is intact. The front and back end plates have a split at the hinge making the cover loose. The preliminary pages (up through the title page) are present but not attached. The remainder of the pages are tight and clean. The cover has minor signs of wear, especially at the corners and the spine. This book would be a wonderful addition for those who enjoy Louisa May Alcott and would like a peek at who she was as a person.
