Description: LIFE MAGAZINE Issue: October 8 1945 Includes articles on Frank Lloyd Wright and his model of the then to-be-built Guggenheim, train ride from Tokyo to Hiroshima, Chicago Cubs win pennant, Jewish new year services in Berlin, artist drawings of the war in the Pacific (11 pages of color drawings), reeducating Hitler Youth, fur hats, The Waldorf-Astoria, J Arthur Rank (movie maker), silk from Texas, other topics. The ads alone make this worthwhile. Bagged and boarded (non-acid cardstock.) Condition: Good. Got a whiff of mildew when opened to the middle of the magazine, but not a strong one. Complete and flat. No address stamping or sticker. Stain on front cover (cup or glass set on it wet, probably.) Cover paper missing on lower spine in two spots, both about 1/2 inch. Dark stain in middle of rear panel next to spine. Staples are slightly rusted but no bleeding onto the pages. All pages tightly attached to spine. Due to recent changes in USPS postal rates, the actual cost of shipping this magazine could vary from $9 to $16, depending upon how far the destination is away from our shop on the Oregon Coast. If our actual cost is less than $16, we will post a refund. 11/23/12
