Description: This item is just another fantastic vintage toy from the “PA TOYS OF TIMES PAST” collection. And this one is a 1950's vintage Linemar by Marx tin litho wind up Popeye roller skater toy. The toy stands 6 inches tall. This nice vintage comic character toy features Popeye on roller skates holding a tray with a can of spinach. It is marked "Linemar Toys - Japan" as well as "Linemar Co." and "King Features" on Popeye's back. The toy is complete and the wind up is in good working order. This vintage wind up has the origninal cloth pants and it is all original including his pipe. The toy is in very good condition, no damage, the litho has great color as LINEMAR was known for their bright lithography that stood the test of time and today they mostly stand out as if they were produced today. As most of these Popeyes there is some discoloration of the cloth pants, the rubber is still on the wheels. He has a hole in the bill of his cap. Included with the sale of this fantastic vintage toy is a top quality reproduction box for display next toy this vintage toy and is a great comic character collectible!
