Description: Lionel No. 2331 Virginian Fairbanks Morse "Trainmaster" Diesel Locomotive, Blue/Yellow with the original box. The locomotive is complete and is in excellent plus condition. The painted body and graphics are very bright and clean. The original decals on the locomotive are all completely intact. The two screw holes have the typical hairline cracks. Otherwise, there are no chips or cracks in the plastic body shell. The chassis and trucks are very clean. The battery compartment is clean with no sign of corrosion. This loco has metal trucks with operating couplers. The loco was tested and it runs good. The reverse unit and headlights work. The horn relay works, but the horn was not battery tested. The original box is complete and is in very good condition. One end of the box is still factory sealed, but there is some writing in marker on this end. The box includes an original cardboard liner, but the liner is not correct for this box. It is shorter and appears to be the liner for an F-3 diesel.
