LIP SERVICE rare sample red black gothic vampire wool silk coat prototype XS 4D

Description: A rare sample coat by Lip Service.It was part of their gothic "Black List" label, thought it has no brand tag (the care tag does say lip-service.com on it though). Its a prototype of what turned into the "Military Dandy" coat, from their aptly named "Musty Dusters and a Real Winter Coat" line.this, obviously, was the "real winter coat" portion of that series. this sample is a little different than the final product.it has the same cut as the "parlor jacket" from their "Faded Reality" line, but is much nicer quality.it is double breasted, and has black mohair fringes and a ton of solid brass buttons throughout.i don't think the final product had so many (it is kind of a pain to button up, NGL).Napoleon collar and French cuffs give it an 18th century feel.it is also lined in blue silk twill, i BELIEVE this was skipped in the final product...i also owned the "musty duster" half of the line at one point, and it was just lined in like a simple black acetate or something.this one also has a double-wave black soutache braiding pattern around a contoured and paneled waist, which definitely wasn't on the final product, which had a simpler cut, and there is a nice inside breast pocket.all 3 pockets are also lined in the blue silk.it is by far the nicest quality lip service piece i ever owned, and i owned a lot. it is very heavy. its pretty slim fitting for a coat, but the fabric is just really, really dense. i bought this years ago (maybe 12? 15?); i got extremely lucky in one of lip service's sample sales. i've worn it maybe twice (again, the buttons are annoying and i am lazy) and it's just been hanging in a closet ever since.there are some light imperfections in the burgundy wool blend, and the silk used seems like it was just some scrap piece they had laying around; there's a lot of imperfections and flaws in it.i lint rolled it but there's still a little dust and occasional cat hair. MEASUREMENTS: no stretch34" bust29" waist36" hips36" longlabeled size medium but it definitely fits like an XS. please note that it is a heavy coat, and that shipping will also include insurance, which is why the postage is so high.
