It is in a nice original wooden frame under glass. The piece is signed in the lower left by the artist. It is very well executed with fine and detailed brushwork and the use of delightful colors. Linda Avey was an Arizona artist renowned for her representation of wide-eyed Native American children. In all of her paintings, she captured the happy, joyous days of youthful activity with her expressive, high-spirited children. Linda Avey had a remarkable talent for art and for most of her life, she earned her living as such. The sun always shined in Linda Avey’s world. She had a fertile imagination and portrayed children in so many different scenes with a range of expressions, character and spirit. Her paintings took the collector to a much simpler, happier time.
