The strip ran more than 45 years (ending with his death in 1966) and was imitated and cloned by scores of others over the years. Known as Hatlo's "other strip", LITTLE IODINE was only a little bit less popular and his cartoon style has influenced scores of artists in the comic industry. Although based on Hatlo's characters and style, the comic books were capably written and drawn by award-winning cartoonist, AL SCADUTO. Accordingly, this title is grossly under-rated at this time. NEAR MINT (9.4) condition. This is a stunning copy of this magazine with outstanding, rich color and original gloss. The spine, staples, corners and edges are spectacular. There is a very faint blunting impression at the bottom of the spine. On the inside covers there is some tanning at the top edge. The interior pages look white.
