The book references this change. This is a wonderful travelogue, designed to be entertaining and informative to elementary age school children. Far from dry, it is full of personal details about daily customs and peoples, though it would not be politically acceptable "correct" today. Very Good Condition for this vintage hdbk 1st printing book. Cover shows lightly bumped corners, a suntanned spine with faded lettering, and bumped spine ends (not frayed). Cover looks nice. No Owner name inside. Maybe very slight ivory/beige age-tanning to paper...not sure, but paper is Not brittle. Binding/hinges are strong/tight. Inside no marks, stains, folds, tears, or foxing. Collectible. No DJ.
