Description: This thing is an absolute beast. It’s almost 5 pounds of solid goatskin and heavy wool pile lining, not to mention a fur collar. Oddly, the tag does not explicitly say what the collar is made of, so I’m not sure if it is faux fur, shearling, polyester or what. A YouTuber called the iron snail has a video called How LL Bean Made the Best Leather Bomber Jacket… Ever. Check it out of you are interested in this general kind of LL Bean jacket (I think his is slightly different). Pockets are dual entry (top and side). It’s really two separate pockets on each side, one top entry, and one side entry for hand warming. It’s in pretty good condition, but there are a few small scuffs and marks here and there, which I tried to capture in the photos. But really, with a jacket like this it just adds to the patina. The corner of the fur collar has a tiny worn spot, as shown. One cuff appears to have a repair to the seem, as shown. Measurements are in photos.
