Description: Lledo PromotorsDiecast Model Vehicle LP43-070 - 1931 Morris Van Auto Trader Jack Odell, one of the founders of the Matchbox diecast company, founded Lledo (Odell backwards) in 1982, and launched the "Days Gone" range of models in 1983, serving a market previously popularised by the Matchbox "Models of Yesteryear" series. The Morris Van only joined the Days Gone range in 1994, so has appeared in far fewer different liveries than other models that were part of the original 1980s lineup. The promotional market became Lledo's bread and butter, with companies and organisations able to order limited runs of the model with their own livery, and the Morris Van was a popular choice. This model was produced in 1994, and, finished in blue, it bears the livery of Auto Trader magazine. This was a Limited Edition, with only 1,500 models produced. Auto Trader commissioned quite a number of different vehicles during the 1990s, some of which are now hard to find - see my other listings for others in the series. Excellent used condition in original box. Box has no rips, splits or taped-up corners. There is some writing on the base of the box where a previous owner, an avid collector of Lledo models, has recorded brief details about the model. Model itself is clean and near mint condition.
