The engine was an experiment in propulsion, by non-condensing geared turbine. The "Turbomotive" was a modified Princess Royal Class steam locomotive designed by William Stanier and built by LMSin 1935. It used turbines instead of cylinders. It was later rebuilt as a conventional locomotive 46202 Princess Anne. This picture is the cover from the remains of a Railway Wonders of the World magazine from November 1935. This picture comes framed in an A4 (30 x 21 cm, 12 x 8.3 inch) size frame. The picture offered does NOT have the "SAMPLE" watermark!!
