Description: An unmarked but classic Carneol vase jar by Loetz Glass 1880s. It has several glass Art Nouveau features. The internal glass layer is opaque while the outer glass is marbled to resemble carnelian stone. It has enamel like gold/gilding at the collar. It is a shapely jar with a shallow foot. The gilding at the foot and rim and swell of the bowl has some abrasion loss but the heavier gilt remains fairly intact. The inside rim is slightly rough and I have included a photo to show this. You can see an example of this very vase jar at loetz.com in the Carneol section. Measurements: 5 inches X 4 1/2 inches Shipping will be Priority with signature upon delivery please.
