Masks are made with two layers of 100% quilter’s quality cotton and elastic straps which means they are soft, breathable, washable and comfortable to wear. They are pleated for comfort & face and chin coverage. They feature an opening in the back to insert disposable filters, which are not included. Masks can be worn with or without filter. To make filter fold a coffee filter, tissue or toilet paper and it put inside mask pocket. Masks are machine washable and dry-able but will last longest if hand washed and laid flat to dry. I personally machine wash mine and then lay it flat to dry overnight. Once dry, I press the pleats on (high) cotton setting being CAREFUL not to touch the elastic because the elastic will melt.
