Description: Here is a mixed collection of antique thimbles, four of which seem to be Sterling Silver, four of which are clearly Brass and one that appears to be plated Brass. Three of the silver ones are not marked STERLING, however the largest of these is marked 12 with banded decor and the engraved letters HE in script. This thimble is in excellent condition. The best of the silver thimbles is fancifully engraved with small cottage, bridge, trees, fence road, leafage and has a beautiful Old English "S" in a shield cast inside the top. This one is also marked STERLING above 10. This may have been made by Simons Bros of Philadelphia. Condition is excellent on this. Some are excellent condition, other have tiny dings and dents. One of the silver thimbles has a tiny hole in it.
