Description: Hardback volumes 1 through 3: Cunningham's British painters, the lives of the most eminent British painters by Allan cunningham, revised edition, annotated and continued to the present time by Mrs Charles heaton. Bohn's standard library. Volumes 1 and 2 has an 1879 date printed on the front of the title page above the publisher, and volume 3 has a date of 1880. All three books have a name and the date of 1944 written in Black ink, on the first page. Volume one also has a small tear where the name is written, less than one inch, as well as a very small sticker inside the rear cover from an old bookseller, possibly from when the book was new. Overall, books are in pretty decent shape for their age, normal edgewear and corner wear to the covers, some staining on covers, yellowing of pages due to age. Some signs of use/wear to edges of pages but overall they are in decent seat with no dog ear from use.
