The textured rollers on this foot give you more control and cause less friction between the foot and feed dog. Great for sewing over leather, fur, quilting. The foot is made of clear plastic and the rollers are metal. This foot rolls very easily over all types of fabric. Some sewing projects can be a real pain when your machine doesn't want to feed the fabric through. You find yourself having to grip the fabric behind the presser foot and help your machine feed the fabric. This causes needle breaking, thread breaking and sometimes offset or skipped stitches.
