An aluminum dashboard for the 2nd Gen (’98-’02) Dodge Ram!-Engineered and manufactured in house in the USA!-CNC laser cut from 0.063″ (1.5mm) aluminum, finished with an even brushed finish-Ready to be painted, powder coated, wrapped, or can be left raw to match your interior/build-Weighs approximately 18 lbs and replaces the broken stock plastic dashboard-Uses all factory mounting locations so there is no drilling, cutting, or modifying your truck-All necessary mounting hardware and installation instructions are includedIf you have any questions please contact us! Notes: -This dashboard attaches to the stock steel dashboard subframe. That is not included and will need to be reused from your existing dashboard. This replaces all of the brittle stock plastic.-This dashboard is designed to work with stock door panels or our aluminum door panels. Aftermarket door panels from other companies may interfere with the dashboard design and may require modification to work.-12V Sockets/Cigarette Lighters Note: This option will not work with the stock 12V sockets/cigarette lighters as they were not able to be removed from the stock dashboard intact. If you would like to utilize this option, we purchased some off of Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BQ1JYTX/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1) that we have incorporated into our aluminum dashboard. Some minor wiring is required for installation.-Double DIN Radio Note: If you have a full sized unit (with a CD player) you might have to trim the stock steel dashboard frame to allow enough clearance for it to sit flush in the opening.-Defroster vents are standard for all dashboard configurations-Our dashboard will fit the stock gauge cluster or our aluminum gauge panel. We cannot guarantee if it will fit with other aftermarket gauge clusters.-Our dashboard kit ships unassembled and will need to be riveted together! All rivets are included and all holes are pre-cut in the proper locations, so assembly is straightforward and there are thorough installation instructions. Assembly and installation will take approximately 3-4 hours (this time includes complete removal and disassembly of the stock dash to accept our aluminum dashboard).-The dashboard was extensively tested to ensure that there were no rattles. We also swapped in an automatic steering column to verify that there was no interference with the column shifter. Once the dash is fully installed, it is very sturdy and rigid. -The top cap (over the gauge hood) is removable for easy access to wiring and removal of any switches or components that mount to the gauge bezel.-None of the stock components are included. They are shown for reference only!-The installation of this dashboard removes the passenger side airbag. It cannot be used with our aluminum dashboard. This is for offroad use only!!-Due to the customizable nature of the dashboard, it is not eligible for return or exchange!*For track of offroad use ONLY!
