In the images you will see the street in the 1960s before it became derelict and bulldozed due to the area authorities deeming them slums.You will also see the 21 st century replica street built in the same Highgate area of Stockport in tibute to the artist. This is a somewhat more coarse version oil on board than his 1961 Crowther Street artwork which became his more favoured oil on canvas.That said,it is preferred by many due to its naive art .
