Description: Offered here is a color etching by Luigi Kasimir (1881 - 1962). This image of Central Park and the Sherry Netherland titled "New York The Minaret" is pencil signed and dated 1927 in the plate. The etching measures 17 1/2 in. high x 11 inches wide between the platemark. It is handsomely framed and has French matting. Luigi Kasimir was one of the first artists to develop the technique of colored etching. Art CONDITION: A very strong impression, evenly printed on a sheet of wove paper with clear platemarks and the sheet displaying moderate tone. Matting is toned, has a tiny ink spot at lower left, and a couple of other tiny and faint spots. The frame has minor scuffs inside the upper left. Paper backing has some minor tears.
