Description: About the Book and its Condition Luis Trenker - Berge im Schnee: Das Winterbuch – first published by Neufeld & Henius Verlag, Berlin in 1932. A remarkable masterpiece about skiing and alpinism by Trenker, a true mountain lover. Luis Trenker (1892 – 1990) was a South Tyrolean film producer, director, writer, actor, architect, alpinist, and bobsledder. The cover is cloth-bound in blue and comes without a dust jacket as issued. The spine has tanned slightly, and the top is pushed out. The prior owner’s name and stamp (a well-known lawyer from Zagreb) may be seen on a few pages inside the book (as shown in the photographs), as well as what appears to be a secretarial inscription to Tito from Stalin in Russian. The book includes black-and-white pictures. A few pages have slight stains (as shown in the photographs), but the rest are pristine, with no markings, underlining, or stains. Packaging and shipping The book will be carefully wrapped and shipped in a box that includes a tracking number. All parts will be thoroughly protected with acid-free paper and bubble wrap.
