It provides power directly to the flash capacitors via the external high voltage input found on some flashes. All of Lumedyne's "Cycler" products(Minicycler, SuperCycler, MegaCycler) are meant to be fully compatible with Quantum Turbo cords. If you already have a cord to connect your flash to a Quantum Turbo(any model), you are set to go with this. It will also power a Quantum Q-flash. The Minicycler is roughly comparable in recycle speed to the original Quantum Turbo, but will give more flashes per charge This one has been rebuilt with fresh 4200mAh NiMH cells. This unit was originally fitted with 2000mAh NiCd cells, and the NiMH cells offer double the original flashes per charge with similar recycle time This has been fully tested, working, and will be ready to go out of the box. A charger is included.
