Description: Note: I am selling this piece without the matting, which you would want to replace, being that it will cost less for the shipping. A Beautiful Impressionist Etching of a 'Market Scene' by M. G. Riley (19th/20th Century, American), signed in pencil in the lower right corner by the Artist and Numbered 63 of 125 in the lower left. This Amazingly Wonderful Etching was executed on Artist's Paper and glued down at its border on a backboard for its matting (the Etching itself is not laid down and I will remove it from the matting). This Great Etching has Charming Subject Matter, Excellent Perspective and the Quality of the Work is Amazing. You will have to excuse the photos - I'm still a novice. This Etching is Incredibly Impressive and has everything one would want for this Genre and the Wonderful Subject Matter has been dealt with quite nicely. I am selling this Beautiful Etching for my elderly neighbor, who must downsize due to moving to a Care Home. He seems to remember acquiring the piece in the late 1940's. This Dynamic Etching is in Good Condition, though it does have around 10 tiny spots of foxing, a very tiny hole (1/8 inch) in the center left edge of the Etching and a very small, shallow 1/4-inch crease at the center top by the edge - none of which really takes away from its Beauty. This Impressive Etching measures 8 3/8 inches by 11 1/8 inches within its matting. It is in need of framing. This Wonderful Etching would enhance any Great Art Collection, any Etching and Print Collection or would just look great in any beautiful Home.
