She made her first recordings in Los Angeles in 1948 which spawned the huge holiday hit, "Boogie Woogie Santa Claus." During a week-long club engagement in Chicago in May of 1953, Scott recorded the classic sides presented here backed by the Red Saunders Orchestra with guest trumpeter King Kolax.
