Description: Mae Murray vintage 8"x10" photo taken in 1922 for the film "Peacock Alley". The photo is single weight with a glossy finish with borders. There is a studio stamp and printer's crop marks on the back. There is border wear. Her signature is a copy and signed in white ink. Overall I rate this in excellent condition. This photo was used by Exhibit Supply Company to produce an arcade card in the 1920's. Exhibit was in business for over 50 years and produced arcade cards with celebrities and athletes. This is the actual photograph they used to send to the printers to have their cards produced. They would paint the celebrity's name or copy their autograph, then place crop marks on the back to have a specific portion used to produce their cards. It is believed that Exhibit was the first movie memorabilia which collectors would seek out to buy. These cards did not have any advertising and were targeted to fans at arcades, fairs and carnivals. I grade my photographs as follows; Mint, Near Mint, Excellent, Good, Fair and Poor. California Residents pays sales tax. I do combine multiple purchases with a flat rate shipping cost. Please check my other auctions and my Ebay store for many more great Hollywood collectibles.
